How would my classmates remember me? Probably, the shy, quiet and smart or even nerdy type! Haha
Well, can't blame them cause that was probably who I projected myself to be in school. School was my main focus and I just wanted to go through school with my best effort. I was also an introvert, so my social network was quite small. I made friends, but I was the most comfortable with a small group of friends. I was shy and quiet, never really liked attention. My life outside of school was pretty separate from my life in school.
Today, after so many years, when friends from school meet me, they are surprised to see that I've become much more talkative, speak up more and appear more confident talking in public. I'm still an introvert, of course, and I'm still more comfortable being with small groups of friends, but I have more groups now, LOL. I did get a couple of "Oh, I didn't know you are creative, I always thought you were more analytical" comments when I tell them what I do today. I now managed a business that involves areas like graphic design and interior design, also a big leap from my previous careers which involved management consulting and information technology.
I was actually amazed to see this difference. I guess I just never looked at myself in those two different spectra until someone made a comment about it. Interesting perspective :-)
